The Safety Training Facility features classroom and office space including welding, mechanical and electrical workshop areas and a large multi-purpose room. High-end finishes are throughout the space including sky fold partitions and polished concrete.
The exterior facade features a Centria System composed of an insulated composite back-up panel acting as a rain screen with architectural metal panels and decorative concrete veneer. Registered LEED Certified, the facility features solar panels, a wind turbine, LED Lighting, low flow toilet fixtures, low VOC materials and utilization of a retention pond for landscape irrigation. Additionally, the team recycled the majority of construction materials on site to increase the project’s green impact.
A second building—the Pole Training Facility—involved the new construction of a pre-engineered metal building with metal panel facade. The interior includes minimal finishes to allow ample space for the team to train. The center is a dirt floor allowing for the erection of wooden poles with a mezzanine level surrounding the center area.
The team completed the project on an extremely tight schedule due to the long-lead time for the pre-engineered metal building.
