Addition & renovation to K-State fraternity
The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Kansas State University was completed almost 60 years ago and needed to go through a major overhaul in order to stay competitive for another 60 years. The project included an addition and a renovation.
The addition included a new two-story dorm wing connected to the existing fraternity increasing the capacity from 54 to 92 residents. The interior renovations included architectural finishes throughout the building as well as refurbished existing dining, chapter and study rooms. McCownGordon also helped create an interior atrium space with four large skylights. Some outdoor renovations included a new basketball court, updated brick facade and new windows.
