What is an ESOP?

McCownGordon is proud to be 100% employee-owned.

An ESOP is an employee ownership structure that works similarly to a 401k, meaning it is a qualified retirement plan. Employees receive ownership of company stock, with additional shares distributed gradually. Each employee holds their shares in an individual account. This ownership model attracts top talent, enhances productivity and fosters long-term commitment among employees at McCownGordon. When an associate becomes fully vested, we proudly add their name to a custom handcrafted ESOP wall.
