The project’s scope included the construction of a maintenance facility, an office building, a concrete batch plant with an aggregate storage facility, a conveyor system for concrete production, and concrete truck and employee parking facilities. The filling area includes CarbonCure, a sustainability effort, which eliminates a percentage of cement particles from entering the environment while the concrete mixes.
The team divided the project into four phases to keep the old batch plant and concrete production area operational while construction began for the new batch plant and aggregate storage facility. The new office and maintenance facility were completed early, so the employees could move in before demolishing the old office. This allowed for a smooth transition to the third and fourth construction phases.
