Building Future Talent
The new facility now supports advanced training in Construction Technology, Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning (PHAC), Electrical Technology and Commercial Driver License (CDL) programs.
This project was more than construction, it was about building the future workforce of McCownGordon and the industry. From preconstruction through closeout, the team navigated multiple GMP packages, a tight budget and evolving design changes, all while keeping a client-first perspective. We collaborated with trade partners to provide hands-on learning for Electrical Technology students, allowing them to work alongside electricians during outlet installation, also known as “devicing out.”
Real-World Learning Spaces
The expansion delivers state-of-the-art spaces designed for student engagement and centralized learning. Beyond instructional shop areas, the facility includes footings for two home-building zones, breaker panels, furnace and condensing units, a paint booth and a dust collector—all tailored to replicate real-world job sites and prepare students for success.
