Spanning 47,000 square feet, the center includes a 911 call center with 41 dispatch stations, back up areas, conference rooms, office space, training areas and a high-end breakroom/kitchen.
Careful attention was given to all components of the structure, ensuring the facility can remain operational despite a destructive weather event. As put forth in FEMA 361, the mission-critical functioning areas contained within the hardened structure are designed for Zone IV wind criteria.
The structural design allows mission-critical areas capable of withstanding an F4 tornado or 260 mph winds. Â In the event of a prolonged loss of supplied power, the facility will be powered by two 750 kW backup generators. The communications systems are also protected by dual Uninterrupted Power Systems. Ten thousand gallons of diesel fuel for the generators is stored on site, as is a 4-day supply of potable water.
Designed to create a stimulating, sustainable environment for all tenants, the work space is innovative, wellness enhanced and energy efficient, giving each occupant control of their own space. Necessary steps have been taken to reduce the building’s visual, light and noise impact to the neighborhood.
