Built for Collaboration

Engaged as construction manager at-risk by the Kansas State University Foundation, McCownGordon Construction built the two newest multitenant buildings at the K-State Office Park in The Edge District. Together, these two buildings added 140,000 SF of new office, incubator and community amenity space to a unique district that includes everything from state and federal laboratories to a Power 5 Conference athletics complex.

Collaboration was key among the project team members to efficiently develop the site, navigate an evolving mix of public and private funding mechanisms, balance input from multiple stakeholders and streamline phased tenant improvements and occupancy. On both projects, creative solutions resulted in cost savings that were reinvested to enhance the buildings.

As a legacy partner, the McCownGordon team understands the vision for the district and has historical technical knowledge. This robust combination results in a better experience and product for the entire project team.
