Both stations are designed to blend in with the neighborhood. Therefore, McCownGordon is placing the safety of adjacent neighbors as a top priority and is dedicated to keeping a clean construction site. The project team communicated with neighboring businesses to evaluate how the construction traffic will impact their operations and created a detailed plan ensuring the construction process is as least disruptive as possible.
McCownGordon collaborated with Tessere and door engineers to select high-quality fourfold doors that are customized to the need of each location and bay. This allowed the equipment and apparatus to function front and center.
In order to maximize the budget, the team offered an extensive list of cost options. In collaboration with the owner, our team evaluated different MEP systems and roof options. We understood roof leaks and durability are key issues for all existing fire stations throughout each district. Through collaboration with GLMV, we evaluated the feasible roof systems and their extended warranties by hosting the manufacturer and providing the Owner with the opportunity to ask questions directly to roofing experts, ensuring the best product is selected.
