American Institute of Architects - Kansas City Chapter Honor Award

The u-shaped house is organized around a central healing garden defined by east and west living wings.

Built with a concrete structure up to the second floor, its exterior is a combination of copper, brick, light-gauge metal siding and fiber cement.

The living wings rely on slender cast-in-place concrete columns and a 10” thick concrete deck. The spaces are brought together by a green roof overlooking the Healing Garden and outdoor decks.
