Project Case Study
Coinciding with the recent renovation of the Lion’s Park Pool project, the City of Valley Center chose McCownGordon Construction to build the new Valley Center Recreation and Aquatics Center. The key elements of the new facility include a gymnasium, a modern fitness center, a childcare center, and an impressive aquatic area featuring a 6-lane pool with a dive well and a recreation pool. In addition to the main build of the facility, the project scope includes comprehensive site improvements to enhance accessibility, functionality, and aesthetics.
The primary focus of the Lion’s Park Pool renovation project was to address repairs to the existing pool basin. Other elements within the construction scope included extending the pool deck to allow increased capacity, landscape updates to the surrounding area and upgrading the existing fencing. This newly renovated pool serves as a shared space for the community.
