Rendering of Barney Allis Plaza

The project includes construction of a new subterranean parking garage, redeveloping the outdoor plaza space that sits atop the parking garage and enhancing the surrounding site/streetscapes.

The new underground garage will support Kansas City’s convention center and surrounding hotels. Above the garage, a three-acre outdoor plaza will provide a vibrant and interactive destination for the city engaging visitors in outdoor programming and art experiences. A 25,000-SF mixed-use retail building will border the west side of the plaza housing a café, restrooms, event space, storage and retail shops.

Completing the project in the heart of the urban core, the project team is placing an extra focus on safety ensuring the construction team minimizes disruption and keeps pedestrians in the areas safe.
