USD 309 successfully passed a $7.6 million bond in 2023. McCownGordon was selected early in the bond process as the Construction Manager at Risk to provide bond support and bring creative, cost-saving solutions to the district.

Among the bond’s goals are the replacement of roofs and the installation of secured entrances in all USD 309 facilities. The auditorium at the high school was also renovated, and South Hutchinson Elementary School received an addition of two classrooms.
